Forkey Doe, others under threat as Kelantan plan to offload foreign contingent

Liberian International Francis Forkey Doe and the rest of the foreign players mostly Africans, playing their trade for Malaysia Super League Side Kelantan may find it difficult remaining in the club employ after officials announced massive recruitment for next season.

After a disappointing 2014 season, Kelantan are set to ditch their current foreign players for a new set.

On his Facebook page, Kelantan FA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa stated that they have signed a number of new foreign and local signings for the 2015 season, .
One of them is Cote D'Ivoire forward Kepre Brice Herman Tchetche, the 2013/14 Tanzanian league's most valuable player.

Kelantan also secured the service of 24-year old Nigeria national team forward Ighodaro Osaguona, signed from Enugu FC.

Their AFC signing is former Adelaide FC's skipper, 32 year old Jonathan McKain. According to Annuar, discussions are still ongoing with the player set to fill the last remaining foreign quota.

These four new signings mean that all of Kelantan's previous foreign players will most likely be dropped.

He then added that the local signings are former player Nor Farhan Muhammad, league journeyman, 33 year old Nurhafiz Zamani Misbah, and Perak midfielder Hazrul Mustafa.
