The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) has sent out early warning to who be pitch invaders ahead of the 2017-2018 National County Sports Meet quarterfinal which is expected to come alive at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

The Ministry also said no unauthorized persons will be allowed to move up and down the perimeter, not even ministers or top government officials, except those with valid tag.

Speaking yesterday at a major news conference, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Andy Quamie said he has over the years observed that perimeters at the SKD and Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) are usually jammed parked with government officials as well as journalists and security personals, noting such much stop.

Minister Quamie who is also a former CAF Media officer said during the quarterfinals no ministers, county officials will be allowed to go into team dressing rooms, urging any county official who wants to see their county must go to their hotel.

“If you are a Superintendent go to VIP, the perimeter is not for you, if you are a minister who comes from Nimba and you want to see Nimba go to their hotel, the dressing room is no go zone,” Minister Quamie stressed.

He continued: The only people who are allowed to be on the perimeter are photo journalists, electronic journalists are supposed to be at the media center. If you are working with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and you are not to be there, don’t go there. We will restrict people.

The CAF and FIFA Match Commissioner also disclosed that the security operation will be changed to stewardship aimed avoiding the influx of security personals at the perimeter.

Minister Quamie said Liberians must learn to follow international protocol.
