The New Creation God Church in Voinjama,  Lofa County has donated a consignment of tools to more than 100  farmers across the county to help them increase production this  farming season.
Making the disclosure in an interview with the Liberia donation on  behalf of the church, Senior Pastor Alexander Nutta named the tools  donated as wheelbarrows, shovels, rain boots and coats, cutlasses,  rakes, as well as seedlings, among others.
He put the cost of the tools at a little over US$2,700,
The Pentecostal prelate noted that the donation is geared towards the  promotion of agricultural activities in the county to ensure that Lofa  becomes self-sufficient and food secure through the production of  adequate crops.
He pointed out that as part of efforts to further promote agriculture  in the county; the Church has organized activities to educate farmers  on how to engage in other economic ventures such as soap-making and  pastry, among others, to help them improve their economic status.
Meanwhile, Pastor Nutta is also encouraging women groups to venture  into farming to enable them save earnings from the sale of their  produce with the church in order to qualify for loans from the church  to increase production.
