The Ministry of Public Works, through Deputy Minister for Administration, Joseph P. Todd, yesterday met with some International Partners at his office, to discuss ways in which they can contribute to implementing government’s pro-poor development agenda.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister Todd said "The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Public Works, (MPW) is open to partnering with companies and investors who are willing to help Liberia in its development efforts.
He said Liberia lacks development. “It is our determination and prayers that we partner with investors in other for our country to be developed and provide jobs for our citizens,” he said
He used the time to also appreciate the partners for their support to Liberia’s reconstruction process.
He asked that they continue to engage each other in the best interest of the Liberian people.
Mr. Chuka Opene, an official of the company, styled: 2SGN Incorporated, informed the gathering that his company “is willing to partner with the Government of Liberia so as to foster the Growth and Development of Liberia.
He disclosed that the company is committed to pre-financing projects that seek to promote the infrastructural and other developmental projects in Liberia Government’s Pro-Poor Agenda.
Mr. Chuka Opene, head of delegation, said the company is presently stationed in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with partners in Europe.
He said the Company looks forward to working with the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Public Work.
Mr. Chuka Opene also thanked Deputy Minister Todd for giving them the opportunity in sharing the vision of their company and its scope of operations.
