The House of Representatives has summoned Information Minister Eugene Nagbe and his Deputy Eugene Fargon to show cause why they should not be held in contempt for disrespecting that body.
The Lower House’s decision followed the failure of the Two Ministers to appear before the plenary to respond to a complaint from Representative Edwin Melvin Snowe Jr.
They were asked to appear with their lawyers for a contempt trial which may lead them to jail or be fined in line with the laws of Liberia.
Deputy Minister Fahngon was allegedly caught using profanities on Rep. Snowe in a facebook video done at a night Club in Monrovia.
According to information gathered Min. Fahngon got irritated after a man (Kelvin D.J. Mattaldi) believed to be Rep. Snowe’s aid allegedly took his photo while dancing with a woman at the Club.
In the video which has gone wide on social media, Representative Snowe appears to be moderate, but Deputy Minister Fahngon can be seen bombing with invectives.
It was against this back drop that Rep. Snowe filed the complaint against the Deputy Information Minister, but he and his Boss failed to appear on Tuesday.
