The hard working center back has been named in Lone Star provisional squad ahead of the mouthwatering encounter against the Warriors.
Nimba United’s defender Ben Beniah has made Lone Star Coach Thomas Kojo’s provisional squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The Lone Star who are desperate for all three points to better their qualification chances, are due to battle the Warriors on November 18, 2018 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville City.
Beniah has been a key figure at United since he signed two seasons ago. The former Grand Bassa County Meet defender was outstanding for Christopher Wreh’s men as they finished second in Group ‘B’ of the 2018 Liberia Football Association (LFA) First Division League.
His performance is also said to have caught the attention of the Lone Star technical team. He has a commending height, and is super in the air. He also controls well and has the ability to build up an attack for his team.
Meanwhile the rest of the squad include: Boison Wynney de Souza, Ashley Williams and Tommy Gbayeh Song'o all goalkeepers.
Defenders include: Teah Dennis, Joel Johnson Alajarin, Alvin Maccornel, Kemoh Sidiki Kamara, Aloysius Snosie Simujla, Ben Beniah, Nuwo Johnson and Boakai Morlu.
The Midfield contingent is made of Anthony Snoti Laffor, Murphy Oscar Dorley, Tonia Tisdell, Sylvanus C. Nimely, Allen Njie, David Tweh and Saah B. Nyumah.
The strikers are team captain William Jerbo, Sam Garyahzon Johnson, Kpah Sean Sherman, Sam Kollie and Chauncy Freeman.
Liberia plays Zimbabwe in a crunch Group H Qualifier which the country must win if it is to have a chance of reaching Cameroon 2019 Finals.
